100,000 people into work

Welfare-to-work provider Reed in Partnership today announces a landmark achievement of helping 100,000 long term employed people move off benefits and back into work.

Reed in Partnership is set to celebrate the success with a Parliamentary Reception held at the House of Commons tonight, hosted by Terry Rooney MP who has championed welfare to work programmes over the last ten years. The event will be attended by some of the industry’s leading figures and politicians including Jim Knight, Minister of State for Employment and Welfare Reform, and Lord Freud, Shadow Minister, Work and Pensions.

The celebration marks a milestone in the success of Reed in Partnership in delivering welfare-to-work programmes for the long term unemployed, single parents and those on benefits, helping to break down barriers to employment.

Chris Melvin, Chief Executive, Reed in Partnership comments: “I’m very proud of the role we have played in helping thousands of people to change their lives for the better over the last twelve years. However, in difficult economic times it is more important than ever to ensure that people out of work don’t get left behind so tonight’s event is a great opportunity to raise awareness of what we can all do  to help those without a job.”
