MP visit in Peterborough
Local MP for Peterborough, Stewart Jackson, last week visited our Pathways office in Peterborough to find out more about the services the company offers to the long term unemployed receiving benefits.
During his visit, Stewart Jackson met with David O'Sullivan, Reed in Partnership Senior Operations Manager, and took a tour of the premises, meeting with Personal Advisers and customers.
The office is in Mr Jackson’s local constituency, and specialises in helping prepare those on health related benefits for work and sustainable employment. Reed in Partnership has helped over 650 people into work through its Pathways programme in Cambridge and Suffolk, of which over 150 have come from Peterborough.
Stewart Jackson MP said: "I was really impressed with the work Reed in Partnership is doing in Peterborough through the Pathways programme. It is really important that we provide more support to help people on benefits move into work. It was great to get the chance to meet the team and see the type of support available to people in the local community."
David O'Sullivan said: "We were very keen to meet Stewart Jackson and discuss our work in the local community. In these difficult times it’s important that people suffering from health related barriers to work are not forgotten. We're helping more people than ever make the transition from benefits into employment and are really proud of the work we do."
