Reed in Partnership is inviting partners to PEP event in May
The Personalised Employment Programme (PEP) is part of the Government's welfare reform agenda. This is a pilot programme that will test combining employment provision into a single programme, supporting customers based on what they need rather than the benefit they claim.
The four year contract is targeted at supporting Jobseekers Allowance (JSA) and Employment Support Allowance (ESA) claimants through mandatory participation. It will also target other customers who may join the programme on a voluntary basis, including single parents and Incapacity Benefit claimants.
Reed in Partnership has been successful at the initial stage for the PEP opportunity in North London. This covers Barnet, Enfield and Haringey where the successful provider will engage 38,000 JSA, ESA and voluntary customers over the life of the pilot.
We are now holding a local provider event to build a network of public, private and voluntary organisations who would help develop and deliver our PEP delivery model. Who should attend? We'd like to hear from any organisation that feels it can add value and innovation to traditional job preparation and brokerage services. In particular:
Current providers in Barnet, Enfield and/or Haringey
Organisations experienced in delivering employment, skills and support services to mandatory JSA and ESA customers and voluntary customers
Organisations experienced in delivering services both pre and post employment, from short interventions to longer term support, for example up to two years
This event is an excellent opportunity for potential partners, subcontractors and stakeholders to begin to build relationships and partnerships for the benefit of PEP customers.
