Reed in Partnership wins Backing Young Britain Contract
Reed in Partnership is delighted to announce that we have been named as the
preferred bidder to deliver the internship and work experience element of the new
Backing Young Britain programme
The new contract which covers England, Scotland and Wales will see Reed in
Partnership and our subcontractors deliver 20,000 internships and 5,000 work
experience placements over the next eighteen months. We are now moving forward
with our implementation timetable with the new service being launched at the end of
January.
Chris Melvin, Chief Executive of Reed in Partnership, said: "We are delighted to have
been awarded this new contact by the Department for Work and Pensions. With
youth unemployment at its highest level for twenty years, we are excited at having
the opportunity to play our role in helping young people get the skills they need to
move into sustainable employment.
"With 400 employers already having signed up to the Backing Young Britain
campaign, we are confident that we will enable young people across the country to
access the internships and work placements they need."
