Reed in Partnership is a Prime Contractor of the Work Programme in the West London contract area, which covers 16 London Boroughs.
The Work Programme is the Coalition Governments' new employment programme to help people into sustainable employment. It runs alongside Jobcentre Plus activity to provide employment and support across England, Scotland and Wales.
As an experienced provider of welfare-to-work and skills programmes such as Employment Zones, Pathways to Work, New Deal for Disabled People and Skills for Jobs we are very excited about the opportunity to build on our success through the Work Programme.
What does the Work Programme involve?
An emphasis on sustained employment - we are measured according to our ability to place individuals into jobs and then keep them in work;
Different payment levels - there are different levels of payment for different eligible groups, reflecting the support required by the hardest to help candidates;
Longer periods of support - we have two full years to support people, ensuring we can help those who are furthest from the labour market; and
Increased level of subcontracting - as a Prime Contractor we manage a large supply chain, including the expertise of voluntary providers, to ensure customers have access to specialist services.
The Work Programme delivers provision for Jobseekers Allowance (JSA) customers and Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) customers who are eligible for Work Programme support. This includes ex-Incapacity Benefit claimants who have been moved to ESA or JSA following work capability assessment. This gives our Co-Members the opportunity to support a wide range of customers with various barriers to employment.
