Providing the training to help people back to work
Employment Trainers work across our network of offices to deliver a wide-range of training interventions to our key client groups. Employment Trainers deliver Reed in Partnership’s training programmes.
As a Employment Trainer you would be responsible for:
- Promoting training and identifying the training needs of key client groups
- Planning, designing and delivering training
- Evaluating outcomes and providing follow-up support
- Record keeping and continuous improvement of training
The client groups we work with can include individuals with serious barriers to getting back into work. This means that the work can be very challenging and will frequently present much bigger obstacles than training roles within other organisations. The sense of satisfaction you can get from this, however, is all the greater for this.
A Employment Trainer will use a variety of training skills and activities to engage and empower clients and to progress them to achieve sustainable employment. Employment Trainers work in conjunction with both Employment Advisers and Employers to help ensure the best possible outcomes are achieved. There are a number of specific areas in which Employment Trainers provide support to their clients. Each of our Employment Trainers are experts in and responsible for delivering training on either of the following course programmes.
The Journey™
The Journey™ is delivered as a one-to-one session or in a group, in short modules. It's a three-week tailored course using a self-discovery approach to improve confidence and motivation. Different materials are used for our clients who are missing job search skills such as knowing how to: prepare a CV, perform at interview or overcome challenges that might be found in the workplace. Many of the clients you will work with on this programme will be facing serious barriers to employment, the Journey™ plays a key role in helping these clients become 'job-ready'.
Routes to SuccessIn order to address the needs of Employers, Routes to Success works with Employers to understand their needs and prepare to fill their jobs. This helps maximise the chances of our client's employment being long-lasting. This programme requires the design of training materials that will help clients secure long-term employment with a particular employer organisation. Once we have established what skills are required, we will work with clients who are 'job ready' to help them acquire these skills, in addition to those they may already have gained from previous training interventions.
